Milkha Singh tested Covid-19 Positive, hospitalised for precaution

Honorary captain Milkha singh well known as Flying Sikh is reputed track and field sprinter of his time. A recent news has cleared it that he got infected with Corona Virus. Milkha Singh had been in home isolation since Wednesday at his Chandigarh residence and now admitted to Fortis Hospital Chandigarh.

Corona has reached nook and corner of the world leaving no country unaffected. Legendary Sprinter Milkha singh was tested positive for COVID 19 and was hospitalised on Monday as a precautionary measure. His son Jeev Milkha singh clarified this news saying that health is stable now.

His son further added, “He is a strong man with positive thoughts. And he is under proper supervision of the doctor. Yet he has attained 91 years of age, he is still fit and fine”.

On Wednesday he had tested positive and since then he was not taking food so as a precautionary measure he was admitted to the Fortis Hospital in Chandigarh. His son and ace golfer Jeev Milkha reached India from Dubai as he got his father’s news of COVID infection.

After Milkha Singh got positive his family got corona test done, and only Milkha singh has been tested positive while his wife Nirmal Kaur who is former Indian volleyball captain was tested negative.

Legendary Athlete is a four times gold medallist in Asian Games and commonwealth games champion as well. Throughout his carrier his performance was unique and inspiring. He also represented India in 1956 and 1964 Olympics after which he was honoured with Padma Shree in 1959.

He is safe and stable, we pray for his speedy recovery.
