Paralympian Swaroop Unhalkar confident of grabbing medal at Tokyo Paralympic

Paralympian Swaroop has never lost his hope, rather  challenged has always forced him to be a rising star.

Swaroop Unhalkar is an Air Rifle shooting player who has shown great confidence saying that he is confident of winning a medal at Tokyo Paralympic.

Shooter Swaroop is from Kolhapur and has secured ticket to Tokyo Olympic in 2019 but due to COVID, breakout his hope for medal was on hold. With the special permission he get chance for training. The lockdown he was getting the training at Gun for Glory Academy under the coach Kiran Khandare. Swaroop has backed this confidence by his serious training effort in the past couple of months.

When he was leaving for his preparatory camp to Tokyo, Swaroop, 33, was indulged with strong will and confidence. He said that, “I am confident of doing well and winning a medal there. I have been fortunate that I was allowed to train at the range here despite lockdown imposed by government in March this year. I have been scoring around 625 and it is a decent score I feel”.

Swaroop will be participating in the 10m air rifle standing events at the Paralympics in Tokyo. Swaroop said that, India has good chance to grab medals as 8 male and 2 female shooters are participating at Tokyo Paralympic.

Swaroop started his career as Air Shooter in 2012, and since then he has always proved, and this time also India is hoping a medal from him. Team Mens Plant News wishes you and other Paralympians, all the best for your tour to Tokyo Paralympic.
