Recently Shweta Tiwari shared a video over Instagram, where she said that “Now let the truth come out!!!!”. A child loses love and affection of one parent when the parents are in dispute.
A family dispute is full of complexity and the same can be observed in the Shweta and Abhinav matter, but in all that a child is major victim of dispute between parents.
Where National and International instruments says that “a child has rights to get love and affection of both the parents“, even a child who has been tried in a crime has rights to access their parents. But when this comes to dispute between parents, the child loses one parent.
On Monday night, Shweta shared a video on Instagram, in which Abhinav Kohli seen struggling to take his son from the actress Shweta Tiwari and the actress was constantly struggling to stop Abhinav.
She also wrote with the video that, “Now let the truth come out!!!! (But this is not going to stay forever on my account, I will eventually delete it, I am posting this right now to reveal the truth, then it goes off).”
She also wrote that, “This is why my child is scared of him! After this incident my child was scared for more than a month, he was so scared that he would not even sleep properly at Night! His hand hurt for more than 2 weeks. Even now he is scared of his papa coming home or meeting him..”
“I also have a video from the same night, and I don’t think there was any mishandling. She tried to take the child away forcefully from my home even though he didn’t want to go with her. In fact, I tried to reason it out with her to allow our son to stay with me for the night instead of taking him away against his wish. It’s evident in the video, which I have that she sat down and made it look like I pushed her. There was no pushing, pulling, or assault. She did it deliberately to create a scene. When my son said that he wanted to go to his mother, I took him to her. The following day, she took him to a hotel. After I failed to locate him, I filed a case against her in December 2020.”, Abhinav’s response to the CCTV footage shared by Shweta to TOI.
While the matter looks more related to child, but NCW has now pitched-in and asked the Mumbai Police to look into the matter and to take appropriate action.
“The National Commission for Women has come across a media post captioned ‘Shweta Tiwari shares shocking CCTV video of ex-husband Abhinav Kohli physically abusing her and son Reyansh’ wherein it can be seen that the accused is trying to snatch the boy from Shweta Tiwari even though the child does not want to go to him. In the hustle, Shweta Tiwari falls on the ground. The accused continues to create ruckus after getting inside the house as well.”, News18 published.
“The commission is perturbed with the sight of the atrocity being committed on a child and to the woman. You are, therefore, requested to immediately look into the matter and take appropriate action against the accused in accordance with the law. The action taken must be communicated to the commission within 10 days,” she said.
