A complaint filed against the actor of making physical relationship on the pretext of false commitment of marriage.
Actor Karan Oberoi arrested by Mumbai police today. The actor was arrested under IPC section 376 and 384. He has been alleged of committing rape and extortion of money from a woman.
The woman has also alleged that, the actor filmed the act and demanding money by threatening her to release the video.
The woman was in relationship with the actor since 2016. She has alleged that the actor made the relationship on the false commitment of marriage.
Recently, Supreme Court issued a guideline that, such relationships based on false commitment will be considered rape. So in such situations, this may create trouble for the actor career.
ANI, confirmed the arrest. He will be in police custody till 9th May 2019.
