Tuesday, Delhi police has arrested its sub-inspector (SI) Sandeep Dahiya from Rohini. The SI allegedly shot and injured his girlfriend at Alipur and then killed his father-in-law Ranveer in Rohtak on Monday morning.
Dahiya shared a note in WhatsApp and confesses the crime, he also explained the reason of the crime. Police has also recovered his service revolver.
SI in his WhatsApp message alleged the father-in-law that, he destroyed his happy family, he was a greedy person and ruined the house of five of his six children. He also said in the message that, he tried for nearly four years to settle the dispute, but due to his wife was under the influence of her father, she tried to get half of his salary.
Sandeep Dahiya joined the Delhi Police in year 2006 as constable, and after passing the exam in 2010 became SI. Dahiya got married with Rajesh Kumari in 2010 and have 2 children.
From the media sources, Dahiya and Kumari was living separately since long due to the family dispute. Dahiya came in contact with a woman for the last one year, and he shot and injured her due to she was putting restrictions on him.
Senior Police said that, “He is being interrogated and will be produced before the magistrate concerned”, TOI published.
