Sunday 24, Feb 2019 at Ganganagar (Merrut, UP), an army personnel was attacked by unknown armed persons, in the evening.
One of the two gunman shot the fire from close range on Jawan’s back side on his head. Police immediately took army personnel Sunil to the nearby army hospital where his situation is critical.
After the investigation, the surprising fact came that the crime branch observed wife’s role in the crime and they also found it as a planned attack on the Jawan husband due to love and money.
Activist View in the Matter
The family laws are widely misused and trouble making for men and their families is growing due to misuse of laws.
Activist, are continuously demanding for bringing the army personal out from family laws which can be used to criminalize a smaller dispute between the husband and wife.
To make a safer place for Army personnel in society and to protect them from trouble, it is needed to bring down the family laws for them and also demand fast track courts for army personnel in criminal matters and matrimonial disputes.
Story of the Matter
The incident happened when the Jawan Sunil was teaching driving to his wife in the evening and then the gunman shot him.
The family along with their two children were residing at Ganganagar, Merrut in a rented accommodation. The wife told police that one of the two persons shot his husband when they tried to rob her and the husband fightt back.
The accused wife took poison and tried to kill herself soon after the disclosure of the incident by Police, but the landlord immediately admitted the accused woman in the nearby hospital, where she is now out of danger.
Now a big question arises here that who will take care of the children where father is critical and fighting for life, and mother will also be jailed soon.
Police Observation
SSP Merrut Nitin Tiwari informed media that, Sunil was about to retire on 31 march and the wife and her lover had the impression that, they will get more money if he died before retirement, and then they planned everything.
Police also observed wife’s extramarital affair with Rohit who is working in a private company at Delhi. During the investigation police has also found photographs of accused Woman with Rohit in objectionable situation from the Rohit’s cell phone. Police also found involvement of third person namely Ajay Tyagi and Police said that none of them has any criminal record.
Rohit conferred the crime and said that he was about to marry the accused woman after Sunil’s death. Police has registered a FIR under the IPC sections of 307 and 120 (B) and assured to arrest the three accused soon.
