Sunday at 1:40 am, a woman who was driving a Chevrolet Cruise, first hit an auto and then immediately hit the mechanic.
Rudra Pandey with 2 friends were going to Okhla after attending a marriage. They felt issue with tyre of his Chevrolet Aveo near the Moolchand underpass. They called Mohammad Affak Malik to replace the tyre and offered for a good money.
During the repairing, a speedy car over speed of 100 km per hour, hit the mechanic and dragged to few meters. Soon after the accident Pandey and other people gathered to the spot and the victims immediately taken to AIIMS where Malik declared dead.
It was reported that, Ananya a resident of Lajpat Nagar was driving the car, and she lost the control of speedy car. Ananya returned India in Dec 2018 after completion of diploma in Makeup Artist from California.
Police has also collected blood sample from the spot and sent it for sampling. Police has also registered FIR against Ananya and arrested her.
Ananya fleed from the place as soon as people started gathering. In the accident the trio also get hurt as they were standing near the mechanic. It was reported that, the fog light was on during the repairing, and they were taking precautions.
