The victim, identified as 8-years-old Raunak, was reported missing on the evening of November 29 while playing outside his home. Despite extensive searches by family and police, no trace of the boy was found until December 1, when his body was discovered stuffed in a sack near his house on Monday.
The postmortem report revealed that Raunak had been killed on the same day he went missing. Investigations revealed a chilling motive behind the murder that shocked both the authorities and the local community.

According to police investigations, Raunak’s mother, Yashoda, was in a relationship with her husband’s brother, Bhanu. The victim had allegedly caught the two in a compromising position. Fearing that Raunak might disclose their affair to his father, Karan Singh, the duo plotted and executed the murder.
Bhanu lured Raunak away under the pretext of buying him sweets. Once back home, Yashoda and Bhanu reportedly struck the child on the head, leading to his death. They hid his body in a sack and concealed it in a drum on the terrace for three days before disposing of it in an alley near their home.
