Lady Inspector Seema Jakhar of Rajasthan Police was dismissed two days before the wedding as she is caught in a bribery case along with 3 constables. The charges of conspiracy with smugglers and taking bribe has been made.
Seema Jakhar had made the Doda poppy smuggler who had been arrested about 15 days ago while holding the post of Barlut Thana prabhari of Sirohi district, absconded with a bribe of Rs 10 lakh. Seema Jakhar is to be married two days later on November 28.
On November 14, in the Barlut police station area of Sirohi district, IG Navjyoti Gogai and SP Dharmendra Singh took a big action in the matter of releasing the smuggler with money and sacked the then-police officer and three constables.
On November 14, the Barlut police station had caught a heavy car filled with Doda Post. On suspicion of driving away from the smuggler after the action, the investigation of the case by SP Dharmendra Singh got the necessary CCTV footage in the case in which the police officer and the constable were seen sitting in a bus with the smuggler in a hotel with more money. In the case, the police station officer and three constables, Omprakash, Suresh and Hanuman were suspended by the SP after two days and the matter was being investigated.
The Rajasthan Police had got a lot of fame in the case of escaping the smuggler by taking bribes. On this, the police department took immediate action after being found guilty in the investigation, SP Dharmendra Singh dismissed the three constables on Friday and sent the file of the then police station officer Seema Jakhar, who was involved in the case, to Jodhpur Range IG. On which IG Navjyoti Gogai took immediate action and dismissed Seema Jakhar.
