Saturday: A 36 years old Delhi woman stabbed her husband to death and posted on social media. She also tried to kill herself.
The couple was in love before marriage, then married 8 years ago. The family was living in a rented accommodation at the Chhatarpur Extension since March 2013.
DCP (South) Atul Thakur confirmed “the developments. The woman, Renuka, belongs to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, while her husband, Chirag Sharma (37), was from Yamunanagar in Haryana”, TOI published.
Both husband and wife were working at the same firm where the deceased Chirag was working in the sales department and Renuka is in operations development.
Police said that, the woman stabbed her husband multiple times in the belly and chest with the kitchen knife.
The landlord alerted the Police, however, PCR got the call about women’s posting about the murder of her husband.
The couple was immediately taken to hospital, where Chirag was declared dead, while Renuka is still under observation, and she will be interviewed once she will be in a position to give her statement.
“Cops broke open the doors and found the couple unconscious. Chirag had stab wounds and was on the floor, while Renuka was on the bed. Blood splatter on the floor and walls suggesting a violent scuffle between them, said a senior officer”, TOI published.
