He was the eldest of his eight siblings and belonged to a family of farmers. Growing up, Siddiqui had a passion for acting, but due to his family’s financial situation, he had to give up his dream and work as a chemist. He later moved to Delhi to find work and eventually joined the National School of Drama (NSD) to pursue his passion for acting.

After the divorce, Nawazuddin Siddiqui got married to his second wife, Aaliya Siddiqui, who was his friend for many years. However, their marriage also faced some troubles, and Aaliya filed for divorce in 2020.
As per the reports, Aaliya had demanded a compensation amount and alimony from Nawazuddin in the divorce settlement.
According to media reports, Aaliya had claimed that Nawazuddin was not paying enough for the expenses of their children and was also not fulfilling his responsibilities towards the family. She had reportedly demanded a compensation amount of Rs. 30 crores from Nawazuddin in the divorce settlement, which included Rs. 2.5 crores as alimony and Rs. 10 crores for the children’s expenses. However, Nawazuddin had denied the allegations and had stated that he had been paying for the children’s expenses regularly. The case is still ongoing, and the final settlement is yet to be reached between the couple.
