Drink water, avoid carbonated drinks, Ronaldo removes coke bottles from conference table

World famous footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, 36 years, replaced the cola bottles with water bottle as he sat to speak the media before Tuesday’s match, which was scheduled between Group F opener against Hungary.

Cristiano Ronaldo does not seem to be the fan of carbonated soft drinks after he removed the Cola bottles from the table. His little gesture of removing it from the table has caused the whooping dip loss to the company’s market value.

Loss to Cola’s market value

It seems that Ronaldo would not have imagined that there would be such a great loss to the company for replacing the cola bottles by the drinking water. This may sound unbelievable but by pushing the coke bottles aside and advising to ‘drink water’ has lead the company to suffer whopping dip of $4 billion in the company’s market value.

Holding up the bottle of water in his hand Ronaldo said “agua”, that means water in the Portuguese language.

Besides this Cola’s stock market price has also descended by 1.6 percent, that is down from $56.10 to $55.22 within hours of his action.

Meanwhile the company too added that “everyone is entitled to drink their preferences and that everyone has different tastes and needs”. Coca Cola further issued a statement and said that “players are offered water, along side Coca Cola Zero Sugar on their arrival in their press conferences”.

Coca Cola is official sponsor partner of Euro League 2020 due to which bottles were presented on the conference table in the view of marketing.
