Mumbai, Tuesday midnight Vijay Singh was arrested by Mumbai Police, died in Police Custody. Family and friends alleged torture and inhuman behavior by police in custody. 5 policemen suspended due to custodial death.
Vijay Singh, employed as MR in the pharmaceutical company, was a resident of Sion area in Mumbai. From media sources, he was out with his 2 cousins after dinner at home. Then while parking the motor bike, a couple sitting there quarrels with Vijay because of the bike light.
From the media sources, mean while police reached to the place of incident, the girl accused Vijay and his brother for harassment. Where the police without doing further enquiry, started beating Vijay.
Then after Vijay and his brothers were taken to Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station. The family alleged torture and inhuman behavior during custody.
The family alleged that, Vijay was repeatedly asking for water and he was also reported suffocation, but the police ignored it, and he was taken out from the custody when he went unconsciousness.
The family also alleged that, police was also misbehaving with the mother of Vijay when she tried to give him water. They also alleged that, police was also misbehaving with the mother of Vijay when she tried to give him water.
In the matter police took cognizance and suspended 5 policemen of the Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station. Out of them one police inspector, one sub inspector and three constable.
Police chased away at demonstrations of people unhappy with the incident.
Angry people t social media, said it shameful and demanded #JusticeForVijay.

Believe the girl should be called who registered the complaint n she should be put behind bars if the harrsament has not happened. The police welfare should pay every month an amount of 10000 to the family becz of police ignorance.
