Hyderabad: 27-year-old woman sexually assaulted minor boy several times, jailed for 20 years

A 27-year-old woman, K Jyothi alias Manjula has been sentenced to 20 years in jail along with a fine of Rs 20,000 by the court in Hyderabad.

The woman is accused of sexually abusing a minor boy several times. A fast-track special court dealing with cases related to POCSO Act found the woman guilty of sexual assault of a child. It is being told about the woman that she used to work as a caretaker in a school.

In this case, on the complaint of the child’s father, Police had lodged a complaint in December 2017. After the complaint was registered, Police had also registered a case in this under other sections of the Indian Penal Code apart from the POCSO Act.

The victim’s father had told the police that he had found burn marks on his son’s body. when police started the investigation it was found that the caretaker of the school used to touch her child inappropriately.

The boy told his father that the woman had recently joined the school and had misbehaved with him several times. According to the police, the boy had told his father that the woman used to threaten him as well. He even lit the child with a cigarette.

The child also alleged that the woman sexually abused him several times. The woman had threatened the child that he would have to face dire consequences if he told all this to his father or any other relative. evidence found in the police investigation and the arguments of Assistant Public Prosecutor Ayesha Rafath in the court, the court convicted the woman and sentenced her to 20 years in prison.
