In an unfortunate incident, a wife along with her lover puts acid on her husband to grab the insurance money. The husband has been admitted to the district hospital on Friday.
The victim Mahendra got married with Santoshi in year 2005, is a daily wage worker, originally resident of Fafundi area of Banda district. He was residing in Banda with his wife Santoshi and their four children. It is believed that Santoshi came in contact with Pradhan Gupta after the family came to Banda. The matter came to light when Mahendra suddenly went missing and his wife was unable to tell correctly about his husband to her in-laws.
While the family were searching for Mahendra, they came to know that a young man has found in scorching condition in the Chitrakoot forest. The family identified him and was admitted to the hospital.
He told the police that his wife Santoshi brought him to the place of incident to get him insurance money. He was taken to near by Noumil area, where his wife Santoshi and her lover Pradhan Gupta tied his hand and put acid, on his mouth and over his body.
Then both of them threw him near the Ramnagarh Pulia, considering him dead. He has also alleged that they poured acid on his mouth and body and snatched Rs 15,000 and mobile from him.
Sub-Inspector Vijay Ojha said to Freemedia News reporter that, the wife and her lover has been arrested on November 1 (this year), and they have been before magistrate.
