Delhi U23 cricket players Kuldeep Yadav and Lakshay Thareja sent back to home immediately after they were alleged misbehaving with the female employees at hotel in a Christmas party at Kolkata.
Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) U23 team were sent to Kolkata for CK Nayudu Trophy match against Bengal. The incident was reported during the Christmas party at the hotel. Kuldeep Yadav and Lakshay Thareja have alleged that they misbehaved with female employees of the hotel and followed the females to their rooms.
It is reported that the women complained the incident to the hotel management. Soon after the complaint, management team of Delhi send the players to different hotel and DDCA director Sanjay Bhardwaj sent to Kolkata.
“Sanjay Bhardwaj is in Kolkata. The two boys are not playing the match against Bengal that started today. They are being sent back home for this serious breach of conduct. What we are hearing that they allegedly knocked on the doors of a female staffer and were identified by CCTV footage,” a senior DDCA official told PTI.
“Luckily, there has been no police complaint after the Delhi team tendered an unconditional apology to the hotel authorities,” he said.
Both the players was given high status in the Delhi cricket circle. Lakshya Thareja playing a List A game in which he has scored a half-century, while the fast bowler Kuldeep Yadav was to replace Ishant Sharma in Delhi’s next Ranji game against Punjab.
