Arun Govil: No Government has given me any honour till date for his role as Lord Ram in Ramayana Serial

It is few who do not recognises Arun Govil for performing the role of Lord Rama in the Ramayana serial, directed by Ramanand Sagar. In a interview on twitter to filmfare, he expressed concern for not being honoured by government for his role as Lord Ram in Ramayana serial.

During the lockdown, the serial is being re-aired by Doordarshan and this time again the serial has broken all the TRP records. When it was aired for the first time, Mr. Govil was liked by the audience so much that people started worshipping him like Lord Ram.

Following the fan’s request, Govil is active on Twitter and is responding to viewers. In a recent interview to Filmfare, he talked about several untouched aspects. In the interview above, he responded about his family as well as career, and also expressed concern about not being honoured by the government.

In the tweet, he said that he was not honoured by any state or central government for his work which is very popular among the audience.

He also said that, what he has gained from the Ramayana would not have been achieved by working in many commercial films, because he got the name of Lord Ram with his name due to the Ramayana.
