Hisar: Father died, Mother got married, the relative made children beg

On January 10, a night at 9.30 pm, the child helpline team found 5 innocent children begging at VVIP area IG Chowk of Hisar city of Haryana. Though the children were sent to the one-stop Centre of the district administration, after interrogation immediately. All the five children are residents of the Ajmer district, Rajasthan including three children, aged 9 to 12 years and two boys from 5 to 7 years.

Advocate Manoj Kaushik Chandravanshi, a member of the District Child Welfare Committee, informed the authority that two women and a man came as fake relatives to take these children. However, the Child Welfare Committee has already warned fake relatives to take legal action against them.

During the investigation, it was found that these five children are residents of the Ajmer district of Rajasthan. These include three girls aged 9 to 12 years and two boys from 5 to 7 years. These include two sisters and their real brother. The children informed the authorities that two years ago their father died in Ajmer and the mother got married again and started living separately. After this, the three children came to Hisae with a relative. It is being claimed that these three children are asked to beg by the same relative.

I was passing through IG Chowk on Monday night around 9:30. Some children were sitting on the sidewalk. A child was sleeping on the sidewalk and was shivering from the cold. The other four were begging. I informed the child helpline team. After this, they called DC and SP, but they could not get any contact.
