UP police busted a gang involved in sextortion, gang used to record man stripping to extort money

UP: The Lucknow police has uncovered a gang involved in sextortion. The gang used to trap men in their net of Honey Trapping and then blackmail them to extort money.

The police have caught the gang red handed, and have registered a case under sections 419, 420, 170, 171, 384, 411 and 34 of the IPC.

The Hazratganj police came into action when they received a complaint from a victim man that 2 women and 3 policemen are blackmailing him and threatening him to viral a video of him stripping. The man also told the police that he is feeling mentally tortured and have no option but to commit suicide.

The police set up a surveillance team to investigate the matter. Meanwhile the gang approached the victim man for the money, which he immediately informed the police that the 2 women and 3 policemen has came to to take money from him.

Police reached to the spot with the help of surveillance and caught all five members of the gang red handed. The two women used to trap men while the three men used to extort money.

“According to police commissioner DK Thakur, these gangs used to identify people around them on social media sites in a professional manner and talk sweetly over the telephone and after being trapped in a trap they call the victim to an designated place.”, AajTak published it.
