Uncontrollable car tramples 29-year-old youth sleeping on footpath

A speeding uncontrollable car trampled a person sleeping on the pavement on GT Road in Shahdara, Delhi. The deceased could not be identified. Police have kept the body safe in the mortuary. Along with this, 19-year-old Aman, the accused car driver, has been arrested.

According to the police, constable Arvind posted at Shahdara police station was patrolling the area on Saturday. During this, a speeding car was coming near Shahdara vegetable market on GT Road. The car jumped due to the breaker near Mahamaya Devi temple and climbed on the pavement. The car rammed a 29-year-old youth who was sleeping on the pavement. The car then came to a halt after hitting the railing.

Arvind immediately reached near the car. The people in the car were identified as Aman and Wajid, both residents of New Usmanpur. Wajid was also hurt in this.

Arvind then took them by an auto to Jag Pravesh Hospital, where doctors declared the young man who was crushed by the car was brought dead. At the same time, Wajid was discharged from the hospital after treatment.

Police have registered a case and arrested Aman. Meanwhile, the police are trying to identify the deceased young man.
