Three in family committed suicide including Husband and Parents In-law after the wife filed a case of dowry harassment

Three members in family including husband, Father-in-law, and mother-in-law committed suicide by consuming poison, after the Daughter-in-law filed complained of dowry harassment.

Three members of a family allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substances after their daughter-in-law lodged a complaint of dowry harassment with the police at Mahavir Colony in Sonipat city of Haryana.

One of the relative Anil told that his brother Dinesh’s son Ankit and his wife had some matrimonial dispute for a long time and the situation got so bad that the quarrel between the two, husband and wife did not stop even after several times.

‘Ankit and family insulted’

According to the relative of the deceased, on Wednesday daughter-in-law Dolly had complained of dowry harassment in the police station against Ankit (husband), his father Dinesh, and his mother, and all three were called to the police station and interrogated.

Anil alleged that Ankit and his family were humiliated and the entire family felt tortured so mentally that the trio allegedly consumed poison on the very next morning.

The Police investigating officer, Chand Singh said that Dolly had filed a complaint of dowry harassment against Ankit, his father Dinesh, and mother Brijesh in the police station on Wednesday.

‘Dolly accused of harassment’

Chand Singh told that Dolly had accused the family of harassing her, after which the police had called the three to the police station for investigation on Wednesday itself.

During the police investigation, Dolly’s brother and other relatives were also present. Chand Singh said that on the complaint of Dinesh’s brother Anil, Ankit’s wife Dolly, his mother Madhu, his father Suresh, his brother Sachin and Amit along with another person Raju has been booked under various sections of IPC.
