The deceased Sanjay, was originally a resident of Rahul in Bihar Sharif district, who was harassed by his wife, committed suicide by jumping into the Ganga along with his 80-year-old mother on Saturday evening. The incident took place at Kali Ghat under the Pirbahore police station. When the local people saw the mother and son jumping into the Ganges, they tried to save both of them but couldn’t. However, the mother died on the spot, while the young man died in the Tata ward of PMCH.

As soon as the information was received, Peerbahor police station in-charge Shafiul Haque reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
