Delhi court directed Yo Yo Honey Singh to appear in the Domestic Violence case filed by wife Shalini Talwar

Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar dispute is no more a ‘Ghar ki Kahani’. Taking a glance at “Court Disposal in Cruelty by Husband”, according to NCRB data for year 2016, conviction rate in “Court Disposal in Cruelty by Husband” was almost 12.2 percent and the trial was completed in the year for approx. 44681 cases.

Delhi court has directed Yo Yo Honey Singh to appear before the court in the domestic violence case filed by wife Shalini Talwar. The court also said, “no one is above the law”. The court also expressed disappointment over Honey Singh not furnishing a reply in the case filed by his wife Shalini Talwar.

The court also said to Singh’s advocate that “Honey Singh has not appeared. You have not filed his income affidavit and are not prepared with the arguments”, Hindustan Times published it.

The court also asked Singh’s medical report upon his advocate sought for exemption from personal appearance. Later his advocate assured the court for Singh’s appearance in next date September 3, and also assured to submit the income-affidavit.

Ishan Mukherjee who appeared on behalf of Yo Yo Honey Singh, informed the court Shalini can stay in the in-laws house after 15 days as they have to build a wall, and also said that Shalini has already taken all valuables and Jewelry.

Shalini has filed the Domestic Violence case against husband Yo Yo Honey Singh at the Tis Hazari court on August 3. She has claimed physical, verbal, mental and emotional abuse by husband. She has also demanded Rs 10 crore compensation.

Over the Shalini allegations, Singh has said it “false and malicious” and “severely odious”.
