Jairam Ramesh shares series of letters and documents against the ongoing debate about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel position in Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru cabinet. The letters shared in his tweet to indicate that Patel has a prominent position in the new cabinet and he was given second Position in Ministry after Nehru.

Jairam Ramesh, shared the letters on twitter, he first shared Nehru’s letter dated July 19th 1947 to Mountbatten which referring Patel on top of new cabinet list.

In Jairam’s next tweet, he shared the letter to Patel dated July 19 1947, to refer the closeness and confidence of Nehru with Patel.

In his 3rd tweet, he shared a letter dated August 1 1947 to Patel, where Nehru has said him “strongest pillar of the Cabinet.”

In his 4th tweet, he shared the letter dated August 4 1947 in which Patel was also on the top of the list of the new cabinet, and the same was written to Patel.

In his last tweet in the series, he shared the Office Note of Nehru dated August 14 1947 with Patel as No.2 in the Cabinet and he was given responsibility of Home, Information and Broadcasting, State.
