Saturday night, husband accused of domestic violence dies in suspicious condition in Police Custody. He was taken to the Rajaswa police outpost for questioning in domestic violence case of his wife.

The youth Soban Singh aged 38 years son Hayat Singh, resident of Kunkhet village of Almora district, was facing domestic violence case. Rajaswa police took him to the outpost for questioning on the complaint of domestic violence by his wife.

At 10:30 pm on Saturday night, he was taken to the nearest primary health center where Soban Singh died during the treatment.

The family alleged that he was beaten up in police custody. Deceased brother Harpal Singh told that his brother was alright when taken by the police.

The case is now under magistrate enquiry and Patwari Rajesh Arya has been suspended. SDM Seema Vishwakarma said that, Patwari has been suspended for not providing correct information in the case.

Soban Singh was working in Gujarat and came to his village in the lockdown, where he served 14 days of home quarantine. He completed his quarantine period on 21 March, and then started living with his family.

Soban Singh was taken to hospital in unconscious state and could not be saved even after much effort. Doctors also observed bruises in his body.
