Wife Ritu Bakshi, drugged her retired colonel husband Rajiv Bakshi then locked him inside the house.

The sensational incident was revealed when the Vimantal police rescued Rajiv from the house on the Rajiv’s father call.

Rajiv told the cops, that he received a call from his father that his mother has admitted in hospital due to heart attack, then he rushed to meet his mother at Delhi. He also made several attempts to reach his wife before leaving for Delhi. So finally he left for Delhi in the absence of his wife, leaving a note.

On reaching hospital, Rajiv got the call from Ritu, and she inquired about his where about? Even after describing the situation, wife asked Rajiv to come back Pune, she also threatened to file domestic violence case and send him to jail. Punemirror reported.

On May 2, Rajiv came to Vimantal police station, Pune to record his statement , as Ritu had filed a missing complaint. Then after recording his statement, he returned back to Delhi.

Ritu proposed to settle down the issues at their residence, both of them went to their Pune residence. There Ritu served him water and then Rajiv became unconscious after drinking the water.

Meanwhile, Rajiv’s father was also trying to connect with the couple over call, but their phone was switched off, so he informed the cops.

Then police made several attempts to reach Rajiv, but the house was locked from outside. Then in suspicion, cops made another attempt and knocked the door, then Ritu gives them the key from inside.

Cops after looking at the Rajiv’s situation, immediately referred him to hospital, and after his health stabilized, police recorded his statement. Police booked Ritu under Sec 328 of IPC for poisoning.
