SC directed Karti Chidambaram to appear before ED

The Bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi observed Karti is not appearing before ED for his role in Aircel – Maxis deal and INX Media case, so SC warned and directed Karti Chidambaram to cooperate Enforcement Directorate in investigation in 5,6,7 and 12 March 2019.

The Bench warned and advised not to follow what you were doing earlier, law will be tough if you play with the law.

CJI Ranjan Gogoi said, that we have many thing to tell you which we will speak later and also we will take strict action if you will not cooperate with ED in the investigation.

The bench allowed abroad travel of Karti on a security deposit Rs 10 crore to secure his return from abroad and permitted for UK and France for tennis tournaments organised by his company.
