Husband set himself on fire at Ranibagh Women Cell

Delhi, On First day of November, 2019, a husband namely Mohammad Akil set himself on fire at Rani Bagh Women Cell. He took such a big step to end the harassment by his wife and police officials at women cell.

MD Akil, after setting himself on fire, police took him to nearest Mahavir Hospital, where he was reffered to Safdarjang hospital. This happened a day before the Police action in Tis Hazari Court.

From sources he got married in year 2010, and the dispute between family started in year 2012. The wife filed a complaint in women cell in year 2012, where the differences between the couple got settled and and within few month, they started living together.

Believing on sources, in year 2012 during reconciliation, he was forced to settle the matter by both police and wife, and he was also threatened to jail the family. But to save his family, he accepted all the demands and the couple started living together.

During reconciliation, one thing he understood that no where his pain will be heard. So he avoided continued harassment with him, during all these years.

Few month back, while Akil was trying to take her wife away from a fight in locality, she got injured. Then she repoened the complaint stating she was tortured by husband and family.

From sources it is also informed that, now the wife was demanding to reside in a big house and more luxurious life, while Akil earning was around 10-15 thousands rupee monthly.

So the day when Akil set himself on fire, to fulfill wife’s demand and pressure from cops, he went to the police station with Rs 10,000 cash and papers of rental property.

Now, what happened in women police station, that Akil took such a strange step, will only be revealed after Akil speaks.
