President Ram Nath Kovind said that pluralism is greatest strength of India while addressing the nation on the eve of Republic Day.
President Kovind pointed out how “India is at the doorstep of eliminating poverty for the first time”
He said “This year is a little extra special. On 2 October we will mark the 150th birthday of Mahatama Gandhi…On 26 November, we will mark the 70th anniversary of the adoption of our constitution.”
President Ram Nath Kovind stressed on the significance of the present year in his address. He also said that “this (Republic Day) is an occassion to commemorate the values of our democracy and republic.”
President Ramnath Kovind on Friday urged all citizens to cast their votes during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, saying “this is not just a once-in-a-generation moment – it is a once-in-a-century moment.”
